Why do you think I didn't get in the van when told I was being kidnapped and taken to Hapuna ;) My friend Jason is the lifeguard there and that whole area is patrolled by helicopter. A month ago it was closed for a week as 20 were seen per day, and turtles were beaching themselves to get out of the way. It was crazy! The beach would have been closed were it an issue.. Jason is on the ball.
You guys should come race Hawaii 70.3 this May - it's a beautiful one.
