I thought I was going to have to ask my blogger friends to give me some strength in this difficult time. There was something very dear to me that was missing after the basement flood incident. Something absolutely crucial to my taper. Something so hard to replace. We looked high and low, in complete desperation. As we were about to give up and collapse in exhaustion, we found it:

Hmmmm. Me thinks that is much like the fabled Palantir Stone in Lord of the Rings. It can be a mighty weapon in the hands of the brave, but for us mere mortals, it means insanity and death! Tread carefully my friend :-)
